NEW AT RRLS: Alpha-Mania Alumni (Reading For Ages 5.5-7 years old)
Due to the success of Alpha-Mania and Alpha-Mania Senior, Ruth Rumack’s Learning Space is proud to announce our new Alpha-Mania Alumni program. As with all Alpha-Mania programs Alumni is researched based The age range will be specifically for Grade One students. Alpha-Mania Alumni is for children who have gone through Alpha-Mania, and AM senior, but children who have not completed these programs can enter if they are able to identify all letters by name and sound and sound out two- and three-letter short vowel words.
As with AM Jr and AM Sr Alumni will feature Word of the Day and Guess the Picture, but will be based on phonemes and spelling rules typically taught in the Grade 1 curriculum, including the Silent E Rule, blends, and long vowel patterns. It will also build on the AM Sr phonological awareness skills and include more advanced sight words. The program will also include a component on sentence writing, building up to short story writing.
Alpha-Mania Alumni will run from 9:30-11:00am, every Saturday from March 26 to June 25, 2011. Children should wear clothing that can get dirty. All Alpha-Mania Alumni classes are taught by a certified teacher. Price includes supplies and an Alpha-Mania t-shirt.
Cancellation Policy: Class time missed due to lateness or absence will not be made up. A full refund is available if registration is cancelled up to three weeks before the session begins. A 50% refund is available if registration is cancelled up to two weeks before the session begins. No refund less than two weeks. |
